Fluid Analysis
Fluid testing (lubricants and coolants) is an economic way to find out what’s going on inside your engine, generator, or transmission, without disassembly. A comprehensive fluids analysis is offered as an add-on to our standard motorhome/RV inspection and as part of an ongoing program for motorhome/RV owners. We can also perform this service for your Tow Vehicle. These tests apply mostly to motorized units. However, some larger towables are being delivered with generators that can benefit from these tests.
It should be noted that a full spectrum of fluids analysis should be run on a brand new motorhome, as a baseline, for future tests. Our laboratory keeps a history of each vehicle on which tests are run. This way, they can give a more detailed fluids analysis. Having a full spectrum of fluids analysis run, at the time of purchase of a new motorhome, gives the lab an invaluable benchmark to refer back to, during future tests.
We draw a small sample of the engine/generator oil, transmission fluid or engine/generator coolant. Send it off to an ISO 17025A certified lab and within 5-7 days you receive a report detailing the findings.
Why should I get Fluid Analysis?

Why should I get Fluid Analysis?
Here are a few reasons why:
- Fluid Analysis saves you money by early detection of problems that could result in a breakdown and an expensive tow.
- They make maintenance more effective but letting you and your technician know may need attention.
- The results let you know if you can safely extend your oil change intervals. Some Class A owners are already running up to 25,000 miles between engine oil changes!
- It gives you the Peace of Mind knowing your RV and towing vehicles stay as reliable and “worry free” as possible.
